ESMA Logistics often arranges transportation of parts for shipbuilding and ship repairs.

Such transportation occurs regularly and cannot be called standard. Shipyards sometimes require air cargo transportation for (drive) shafts or pipe segments weighing as much as 3.5 tonnes because it is essential that these parts reach their destination quickly for ship repairs. We even recently organised air cargo transportation of (drive) shafts weighing around 4.5 tonnes.

At the end of January this year ESMA Logistics arranged door-to-door transportation of six-metre long pipe segments that had been ordered by a shipyard in Bahrain.
To prevent damage to the shipment and hold of the aircraft, the pipes were packaged in reinforced crates.
